COVID-19 Updates

The Adler Arts Center is committed to being a safe environment for everyone who enters our facilities. We have been monitoring the global spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and  The Center is currently closed to the public, visitors and any non-essential administrative staff pending updates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Governor of Illinois.

Festival of The Arts 2020:

We have made the very difficult decision for the first time in our festival’s history, to cancel the 2020 Festival of the Arts due to the risks associated with COVID-19 exposure and transmission.

After the successful expansion of last year’s festival, we are devastated to lose the momentum we’ve been building with one of our favorite events.

We remain committed to supporting our Festival of the Arts artist community during such unprecedented times and will be creating a virtual artist listing page on our website including all artists who applied to this year’s festival with links to their websites and online stores.

We will share this resource with the community on our website as soon as it becomes available.  We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Cook Park for Festival of the Arts 2021!

FESTIVAL ARTIST APPLICANTS:

You will receive a full refund for booth and jury fees via check or credit card, depending on how payment was made when application was submitted.  A refund receipt will be sent via email when processed.  Please note that most of the Adler Arts Center staff is operating remotely, and it could take up to thirty days to receive your refund.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.  If you have address changes or any questions regarding your refund, please email ellen@adlercenter.org.

Camp Adler 2020:

After conversations with our school contacts and the Village of Libertyville,  we have made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person programming  through July 31, including  both  sessions  of Camp Adler, due to the risks associated with COVID-19 exposure and transmission.

While the art, music, and summer magic that our campers create is the highlight of our year, there are currently too many unknowns to proceed with business as usual and we must prioritize the health and safety of our campers, students, staff and community.

Follow the link below to indicate your summer programming and reimbursement preferences by May 26.

Summer Individual Music Instruction:

We will be moving all summer individual music instruction online.

To simplify our summer enrollment process in the wake of COVID-19, there will be three summer sessions.  You are welcome to sign up for just one session, two, or all three!  It is important to note that you must sign up for every week in the session(s) of your choosing.

More information and sign ups HERE.

Youth & Adult Art Classes:

All remaining youth & adult Spring art classes are cancelled.  All parents and students should have received an email receipt with a confirmation of reimbursement.  If you did not receive, please email ellen@adlercenter.org.

Exhibitions and Private Events:

April’s Plants for Birds art exhibit postponed.

May’s What’s The Story art exhibit postponed.

All private rentals through May 30th cancelled.

Due to the extension of the Governor’s stay at home order, the majority of our administrative staff is working limited/varying hours remotely.  This may result in a delay in our response when contacting us.  If you have questions or concerns please email ellen@adlercenter.org or call 847-367-0707.  If you receive a voicemail greeting, please leave a message with your inquiry and a member of our staff will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS NEEDED:

As with so many non-profit organizations, this pandemic has left us with a serious funding gap. We are doing all we can to serve our community with arts and culture programming and in a time when we are facing significant reduction in program and event revenues, your continued support can make all the difference. Please consider supporting your local arts center with a donation.
