Uniting our community through the arts

in partnership with the Village of Libertyville

Through Community pARTners we will increase community, business and governmental support for art education and achieve these community-building objectives:

  • Encourage commitment to the Arts by students, community organizations, and individuals.
  • Increase community understanding and interest in art and art education through involvement in art exhibits, workshops, and other creative endeavors.
  • Direct attention to the value of Arts education, recognizing art education as a viable component in the total education curricula that develops citizens of a global society.

Over the course of the year, Community pARTners will plan and promote a variety of arts-related activities throughout the community including:

  • Village sponsored events and collaborative art projects such as Wrapped in Art Yarnstorm, the Movable and Community Mural Projects, FREE art and music events for the community.
  • Bringing the Arts to the community through the Adler Center’s  now virtual Gallery Series which features art exhibits, Facebook live concerts, virtual workshops and events, their annual Festival of the Arts, music and art instruction, and summer camps.
  • Student performances and Artists in Residence programs throughout Libertyville School District 70, District 128 and Oak Grove School District 68.
  • Programming provided by a number of private Arts organizations throughout the community.

Integrating the Arts more fully into our lives enriches each of us, and because engaging in the Arts brings individuals together, it fosters community. Art and artists aren’t only in museums or concert halls — they are all around us. Every one of us has the ability to create and to imagine a way to make our neighborhood healthier and stronger.

Join us as a Community pARTner and help us spotlight the Arts in our community.

This initiative will be coordinated by the Adler Arts Center at the request of the Mayor’s office. To become a sponsor, see the sponsor packet or contact Amy Williams at amy@adlercenter.org or 847-367-0707.
