Join us this May at the Adler Arts Center for an immersive storytelling workshop led by professional storyteller, Karrie McDermott. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just beginning to explore your voice, this class will help you shape a meaningful story drawn from your own life.
You’ll learn how to identify the difference between a story and a simple anecdote, how to structure a compelling narrative using the classic story arc, and how to craft a personal narrative centered on a specific moment or chapter from your life.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a written story ready to share—whether aloud, on stage, or with someone close to you.

Karrie McDermott is a seasoned professional storyteller and founder of In Their Own Words, a storytelling service dedicated to helping individuals capture and share their personal narratives. With a passion for preserving life stories, Karrie works closely with clients to craft compelling narratives that reflect their unique experiences.
